Where is the option to enable the lock camera button in IOS5?
One of the convenient features on the new iOS 5 is the ability to activate the camera function directly from the lockscreen without having to unlock it. But this ability almost seems like a hidden feature for many people, including myself.
Si I checked the iPhone settings for any way to activate this feature to no end, my search was in vain. The lockscreen is just your old plain lockscreen with the same background. If you are reading this blog is because you too, have spent fruitless hours looking for a way to enable the lockscreen camera button, I am sure you understand the frustration. How could something so wonderful to have be so difficult to find.
Here is the somewhat simple, but very non-instinctual way to activate your lockscreen camera button. From your lockscreen, just double click on your the "Home Button" to make the camera button appear. Yeah I know, it is that simple, but really could it be any more difficult to find? Once you have done that you'll be able to take quick camera shots without trying to find that Camera icon hidden somewhere in your collection of hundreds/thousands of apps.
