iPhone 4S issues that Apple hopes you don't find out about

I don't want you to think that I will be one sided in my observations, so after reading all the articles, listening to the TV reports, here are the some issues with the new iPhone 4S I thought you should know

Battery Issues
Apple has finally officially admitted that iPhone 4S owners are experiencing a radically reduced battery life due to a bug within iOS 5.  If there is an an outlet is nearby, that might not be such a big deal, but considering many people rely on their smartphones during their travels and since a removable battery still isn’t available, the iPhone 4S’ battery troubles are in fact a real problem.

Siri won't execute all commands
As much as they would like customers to believe that they can do whatever they’d like with Siri, the iPhone 4S’ personal virtual assistant application, Apple knows they can’t. In some cases, Siri doesn't even adequately understand what most users are saying. While in other cases, the application just can’t perform a desired action. While Siri is certainly a great first step, it can’t do as many things as Apple would have customers believe.

Apple is making more than you think
iSuppli performed a teardown that revealed the iPhone 4S has a $188 bill of materials. Some thought that at that price, Apple was only making $11 on its cheapest iPhone 4S. However, Apple actually sells the smartphone to carriers for much more than that—approximately $649, it is believed. At that price Apple is making a large amount of cash with each new iPhone it sells. And for you and I, that might not be so nice.

4G Speeds?
Apple announced the iPhone 4S, the company said that the handset could deliver up to 4G speeds, even though it can only connect to a 3G network. Apple said that it would achieve that goal with the help of a new “wireless system.” However, what Apple didn’t tell anyone is that the 4G speeds are only available on AT&T’s network. Sprint and Verizon customers, on the other hand, are stuck with 3G speeds. Sorry about that!

iPhone 5 is coming!!!
No it's Paul Revere yelling this, but Apple wants to make everyone forget the fact that the iPhone 5 is on it's way. In fact, the company hasn’t even discussed the possibility of that device launching. But those of us who have been following Apple over the last several months know that the iPhone 5 is just around the corner. Therefore I feel waiting until that device launches might be a good idea, I know I am.

Shareholder Play
For all Apple customers, it’s not always nice to find out you are a pawn in someone's financial game. And unfortunately, that’s exactly what the iPhone 4S customers are involved in. Apple needed to launch a new iPhone every year to help bolster their revenue and increase profit figures. Although it’s planning something groundbreaking next year with the iPhone 5, the iPhone 4S was a necessary evil to keep shareholders happy and not a tribute to Steve Jobs.  They would make you believe that the 4S means's for Steve, but in fact the "S" is for Siri.

Apple is quite late to the game on world support
World phone support is nothing new in the mobile space. In fact, there are many companies that currently offer the ability to customers to connect to mobile networks all around the world on their devices. So, while Apple is now  touting the feature as an important breakthrough, perhaps it’s worth noting that it really isn’t that unique.
